IDENTIFY A PUBLIC SPACE
Public Space Area is Time Square. Because this place is the heart of New York City.
DESIGN PROPOSAL
Free Speech is possible only in free space.
The most free space is the sky, Sky where the birds fly.
New York is the city that people feel themselves in dreams, a magical place that you feel in the clouds.
But unfortunately ,in this city, People can not see the sky because of skyscrapers.
Let's get the sky to the ground,to the ground ,under the feet of people.
How is that?
Time Square is the heart of New York City.
By ridding the area from vehicle traffic, we give the whole area to pedestrians and get the sky to the ground.
Now, In this field, people feel themselves above the clouds, A space in which to express themselves free!

He was born in Bulgaria Choumen in 1971. In 1998 with his brotherGunay Erdem he incepted Erdem Architects. He completed a number of award winning landscape architectural and urban design projects both in USA and worldwide. Many of these projects have been published in national and international architecture journals.
